Assistant Accountant

Full time, permanent – hybrid working patterns

A consumer business based north of Leeds are on the hunt for a new Assistant Accountant.

Role: Assistant Accountant

Salary: £26-28k

Working pattern: Full time, with hybrid working and flexible start/finish times

The role

 Reporting to a Finance Manager, this role will take responsibility for:

• Processing invoices, ensuring invoices are coded correctly
• Payment runs
• Act as the main contact for supplier queries
• Prepare VAT returns
• Support budget process for overheads
• Support month end journals
• Accounts payable duties
• Accounts receivable duties
• Bank reconciliations
• Support with preparation of management accounts

Experience required

• Ideally AAT Level 2 qualified or higher
• Practical work experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
• Great organisation skills
• A strong communicator, able to build strong working relationships
• Great problem solving skills and high levels of accuracy
• Confident with IT, particularly with Excel
• Trustworthy when dealing with sensitive information
