An established and rapidly growing organisation in Knaresborough is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team. About the Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering high quality financial reporting and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of monthly management information
• Month-end accounting, including journals and profit & loss and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation and review of VAT returns and ensuring compliance
• Group cash reporting to internal stakeholders
• Identifying and implementing process improvements and financial controls
• Supporting external tax advisers with corporation tax returns
• Managing and developing accounting system policies and procedures
• Supporting statutory accounts preparation and the audit process
• Undertaking other reasonable duties in line with the role

Education and Experience

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified Accountant
• Ideally a first mover from an accountancy firm looking to move into industry or someone already in a similar role
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience working within a group structure is desirable
