HW Finance are proud to partner with a well established retail business in Leeds to recruit a Management Accountant.

Reporting to an excellent Financial Controller, we are looking for a part qualified accountant who has some exposure to month end and financial reporting, who is looking to add to their experience working as part of a small team supporting the Financial Controller and Commercial Finance Manager with accurate and timely completion of the internal and external reporting of the business.

We are looking for a confident communicator who will instil an enhanced level of financial control within the business involving challenging existing processes and procedures and instilling best practice across the Finance team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Management Accounts (posting journals and transactions for the group companies)
• Internal Reporting (support in production of board reports and ad hoc analysis, working with the commercial finance team)
• External and Statutory Reporting (assisting with year-end reporting and quarterly reporting, liaising with external auditors and dealing with ad hoc queries)
• Systems, Business Processes & Controls (developing systems and reporting to automate work and improve timescales)

The role is hybrid (3 days a week) and a full job description can be shared on application.
