HW Finance are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, private equity backed business based in East Yorkshire, to help appoint a new Head of Finance. The role will be responsible for leading financial strategy, strengthen controls, and deliver high-quality reporting and insight to support sustainable growth.

This is a senior leadership role for a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys turning financial performance into clear, profitable outcomes whilst building a strong, high-performing team along the way.

Responsibilities:

• Shape the organisation’s financial strategy to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term value.
• Provide timely, high-quality financial insight to the board and executive team to support decision-making.
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, delivering excellence across finance operations and reporting.
• Maintain trusted relationships with banks, investors, auditors, regulators, and key partners.
• Oversee cash flow, capital management, financial controls, and risk mitigation.

Ideal candidate:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in financial strategy and operational finance leadership.
• Confident translating complex numbers into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
• Proven track record of driving commercial outcomes, improving capital efficiency, and delivering measurable results.
• A capable people leader who can mentor, motivate, and lead through change in a high-growth environment.
