HW Finance are delighted to be working in Retained partnership with Burgess Group, to help appoint an experienced and commercially driven Group Finance & IT Director to join their senior executive team.

This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering the Group’s financial strategy while overseeing Finance, IT, Legal, and Data Protection functions across the business.

We’re looking for a strategic leader who can combine strong financial governance with operational excellence, digital transformation, and commercial insight to support the next phase of business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Group’s financial strategy, reporting, forecasting, and governance
• Provide commercial insight and strategic support to the MD and Board
• Manage banking relationships, treasury, and funding strategies
• Oversee IT strategy, ERP systems, and digital transformation initiatives
• Support mergers & acquisitions, including due diligence and integration
• Ensure legal, compliance, and GDPR obligations are effectively managed
• Build and develop high-performing teams across multiple functions

Key Requirements:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• Proven senior finance leadership experience
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset
• Experience with banking relationships, treasury, and funding
• Background in ERP implementation and business transformation
• M&A experience highly desirable
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Experience within manufacturing or food manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
